The error still persists in 2 of my Ubuntu 8.04.1 laptop computers of different manufacturers. One is the result of gutsy2hardy distand upgrade. The other is a 8.04 new desktop CD 8.04 installation on a Thinkpad T42 computer. JaysonRowe's statement:"Since it's been a very long time since any additional info was added to this bug, I'm just checking to see if this is still an issue, and find out what additional work should be done on this bug." is unacceptable. He did not even read what I have contributed to define the error situation. Every bug troubleshooting starts with an analysis what the operator who noticed an error has written. Please read what people here have written in this thread before suggesting that this is no longer an issue.
