Public bug reported: In order to help the KDE developrs, they need complete backtraces when a crash occurs.
This means that debug libraries need to be available and installed. I just experienced a crash in okular, but the backtrace shows that a non-debug version of /usr/lib/kde4/okularpart.so is installed. When I go to synaptic to look for a debug version of that library, I don't see a package that seems to indicate that one is available. Hence, one cannot usefully report okular crashes to bugs.kde.org. This is a fully up-to-date 64-bit installation of Kubuntu intrepid (KDE 4.1.3; okular 0.7.3). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- okularpart debug library missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/303519 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
