unfortunately it crashes without making a bug report so you will need to provide us with another means of giving you information.
I have exactly the same problem with right click making evolution closing. Any right click in the right window (where emails are listed) will close evolution. Any right in an email will close evolution. I had this problem with ubuntu 8.10 up to date as of this morning and I still have the problem with ubuntu 8.10 up to date as of now with hardy- proposed included.
