Same problem with 2.0.4-2ubuntu0.4 (from http://people.ubuntu.com/~doko/ubuntu/) on edgy. Font replacement is broken. Unfortunately, this - together with other bugs in fontconfig - make openoffice completely useless to edit documents made by people working on other environments.
For instance, suppose that you have a collegue passing you a document with the font Palatino. You will not be able to collaborate with him on such document because: Fontconfig thinks that Palatino and Deja Vu sans are just the same thing, so Openoffice gives you a completely different font... and Openoffice does not let you substitute URW Palladio or Georgia for that, because font replacement is broken. -- Openoffice.org 2.0.2-2ubuntu1 in Dapper fails to make "fonts replacement" work. https://launchpad.net/bugs/52926 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
