Problem persists in intrepid final, updated as of today (11/26).

  Binary package hint: amarok
  
- Removing files from to trash fails. From Playlist>Right Click a file>Manage 
Files> Delete Files.
+ Removing files from playlist to trash fails. From Playlist>Right Click a 
file>Manage Files> Delete Files.
  A following pop up window appears: 
  
  Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said:
  Unknown protocol 'trash'
  
  However, directly deleting the files, instead of sending them to trash,
  works.
  
  Amarok version: 1.4.10
