Binary package hint: xorg
I'm running a TwinView Ubuntu Intrepid with backport repository enabled
Xinerama option is disabled (so I have two separate desktops)
Computer is a PowerMac with Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT graphics card
Latest NVidia GLX driver installed (177.80-0ubuntu2)
xorg 7.4~5ubuntu3
No compiz/make-desktop-fancy-stuff enabled
When I'm trying to switch to console with CTRL-ALT-F1...6 by hitting the
combination once the screens flicker, turn black for a moment and return to vt7
(the x-server). When I hit the combination several times the screens turn
entirely black but no console shown. CTRL-ALT-F7 brings me back to the
x-server.
When I'm restarting the x-server I can see the console for a moment before X is
starting up again, so console framebuffer seems to work.
I'm asking for help for almost a week now, but no one seems to have seen this
problem and I don't know whether it's a nvidia, x-server or something something
bug.
