Sorry, but the fix did not work. Here's what happens: Once we exit the SageTV code activation question using CRTL+ALT+F5, I am able to log into my home directory. However, when running the "sudo apt-get remove sagetv-server" command, Ubuntu informs that:
"E: Could not get lock /varlib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?" So I kill the dpkg process, then try again: "dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem." Fine, I do just that, but that commands get's me right BACK to the activation question from sagetv. I AM COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT OF UBUNTU, for just installing a poor program. -- Installing Sagetv (without activation key) breaks ubuntu boot-up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298179 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
