Hi all, I can confirm the bug on Dell XPS M1330 and 1530.
The workaround that works for me is to remove pulseaudio from the system. I've noticed that after removing puldeaudio alsamixer shows additional track "Digital" with settings ranging from -30dB to +30dB. Perhaps puldeaudio sets the "Digital" to 0dB, thus removing mic boost and causing the problem?
