It looks exactly the same issue. I use smbfs instead cifs but I've
tested it on both.

I also noticed that this problem is only during access to Debian server.
I've got network drive (Icy Box NAS 2000) and I can rewrite files mounted on 
the same
way.
Maybe it depends on remote filesystem because on Icy Box I have FAT32,
on Debian I've got default ext3.
