This is to inform that the terminal opened by the command 'Menubar Tools->Open Terminal' is a kconsole instance, spawned in a new window and settling $HOME as the working directory.
The terminal opened by ctrl-t is an embedded terminal that is opened in the current working directory. The latter is a very useful feature, that i would really like to see restored in the kubuntu-konqueror main menu. Usually, it can be found in the 'Window' menu, in the standard konqueror version (between the 'Settings' and the 'Help' menus).
