Confirmed that ISO image not corrupt following instructions from here: http://fedoraproject.org/en/verify
Result of: sha1sum -c SHA1SUM Fedora-9-i386-disc1.iso: OK Installed K3b [1.0.5] from Synaptic to check whether issue lies with Brasero or the writer. For reference, the DVD-RW is shown as: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S182M The additional DVDROM is shown as: SONY DVD-ROM DDU1613 Using known good CD-RW media, attempted another burn using K3b (disc had been pre-used [once], but not tested with so far... formatted OK by K3b). Noted that some media used in earlier Brasero tests are now completely unusable [two 12x CD-RWs, previous media from same pack has been fine], hence the use of a previously untested known good disc. Disc tested burnt at 4x speed. Verify warned that the disc differed from original - no additional details, though. Log attached. Ejected and reinserted CD-RW which mounted fine.
