The update has solved the password problem, but I still get a failed connection with very few clues to debug further. The information put in /var/log/syslog and /var/log/daemon is very sparse. It makes me believe that the PPTP client of Linux is so incompatible with the Windows VPN server that the server hangs up without notice; communication is really impossible. The only remaining hope is that the MTU and MRU are not properly set up. My server requires them to be 1500 while the new PPTP client of Network Manager does not let me alter this. Is there a way to force this MTU and MRU at connexion time without bypassing Network Manager completely? Eric
