** Description changed: Using Firefox 3 on Ubuntu 8.10, I've been experiencing a bug with the tab bar (and history window) when middle-clicking items. Instead of closing the tab (or in the history's case, opening the URL in a new tab) it scrolls down one, or sometimes more, tabs and then closes/opens that. I've used Firefox 3 with this mouse on other operating systems (Windows, and many past distro's of Ubuntu) and this is my first time experiencing this problem. + + UPDATE: + I've figured out where the problem lies, but I don't have a solution yet. It may be a Gnome issue, or it could be a Firefox issue. At any rate, I notice (in Firefox) middle click scrolls horizontally. This would explain why middle-clicking in the tab bar causes it to switch tabs.
