Beyond NetworkManager, I've tried getting it to run through GnomePPP, KPPP (according specifically to the directions given by Sierra Wireless), and just by calling on the the specific device in a terminal using pppd directly. No luck, really. I'm at a total loss as to what to do, or even try next.
