I had E16 installed and then tried to install epplets but that package was dependent upon Enlightenment. I selected the Enlightenment packages and related packages but then it failed -- only for the Enlightenment package. I have installed and uninstalled it before but the problem is when I added the epplets package.
What I did to solve it was to uninstall all related packages -- epplets, E16 and related, Enlightenment and related. After that, I went to the terminal and: sudo apt-get autoremove -- that step was necessary because the "broken" package (Enlightenment) couldn't be fixed and I got error messages when trying to reinstall them before using that command. After that, I installed Enlightenment and epplets and it worked fine.
