Public bug reported:

Hi,

After updating the xorg-driver-fglrx to 2:8.552-0ubuntu0.1 my display
went nuts - only top-left square of 1024x768 pixels is usable and the
rest displays garbage (my full resolution is 1400x1050). I cannot drag
any icons on the part with garbage but I can move windows there fine.
The display goes nuts already on the login screen. I wanted to attach a
screenshot but any taken screenshots will only show the usable part of
the screen.

System:
Thinkpad T43p with Mobility FireGL V3200
Running Compiz (but same happens without it)

** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
