I put off Compiz when i'm using my account.
But when i got this message last winter, the laptop memory was at 512 MB.
On april, I upgrade memory, I put 1 GB + and using one of the 256 MB. (512
was 2 x 256).
Not I have 1.25 GB of memory. The problem doesn't appear with Firefox after
that, and I run rarely in Full Screen Mode. But i got some problems with
Compiz after a long time when the session in on, I lost the menu bar on the
Windows application. But I thing it's a known proplem. I never test it for
a while.
I'm still using 7.10, maybe I will upgrade in a few month. I installed
FireFox 3 manually. It's working properly. But I didn't test for the
previous bug.
I installed 8.04 on another PC and 8.10 on another one, but i didn't use
them often. Their not my principal station for working. And i couldn't
use Compiz, too old PC or the video card not support 3D.
