I'm afraid I am a bloody beginner with Ubuntu. I tried your "ldd `which tellico` | grep kcddb" (exactly that) in the terminal and I got no reply at all. Whether the package is compiled with kdemultimedia support I have no clue. I installed the package from the general Ubuntu packages. And I'm running Tellico under GNOME.
