I've been fiddling around with gconf-editor and 
/apps/gnome-power-manager/timeout/sleep_computer_ac and 
/apps/gnome-power-manager/timeout/sleep_computer_battery I noticed that the 
laptop seems to be going to sleep with the approximate time of those variables.
It is as if it doest count time from IDLE but uptime.
