I've managed to get the error, running xchat from command line. I think the output is not very helpful, but here it goes:
$ xchat Segmentation fault (core dumped) -- xchat crashes frequently on quit https://launchpad.net/bugs/57951 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
