Hi, thanks for reporting this bug. We need more information to be able to fix this.
Now, open up two terminal windows and run the following commands: * tail -f /var/log/syslog >> ~/297954_tail-of-syslog.txt (in the first terminal, leave it running) * tail -f /var/log/dmesg >> ~/297954_tail-of-dmesg.txt (in the second terminal, leave it running) Now, attach your camera and wait say 30 seconds or so. This will create two files in your home directory, please attach them to this report. Also, with your camera plugged in, run the following command: * lsusb -v >> ~/297954_lsusb-v.txt This will create on more file called 297954_lsusb-v.txt, please attach that on too. Thanks in advance. //magnus ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => linux Status: New => Incomplete -- Digital camera not recognized by Gnome, but a USB drive is recognized. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297954 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
