It appears to be fixed in 8.10. Repeating the above command results in noise from the speakers and this terminal output:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin2 uri=file:///usr/share/sounds/alsa/Noise.wav Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Pipeline is PREROLLING ... Pipeline is PREROLLED ... Setting pipeline to PLAYING ... New clock: GstAudioSinkClock Got EOS from element "playbin20". Execution ended after 1528350575 ns. Setting pipeline to PAUSED ... Setting pipeline to READY ... Setting pipeline to NULL ... FREEING pipeline ... Also note, that playbin2 is not an official gstreamer element. If I understood correctly, it is kind of in "beta" status. It's slated to replace the old playbin element once it is matured, at which time it will be renamed to playbin. -- playbin2 pipeline fails to start https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231950 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
