I can confirm that the Kernel Panics I had on my Siemens ECONEL 100 disappeared when I pulled out the Wireless LAN card, which is a D-Link DWL-520+. The tip to run "sudo aptitude install linux-backports.modules- intrepid-generic did however not have any effect. When I reinserted the WLAN card, the freezes reapeared. So the card stays out. It used to work well on Intrepid, so this is a regression.
