Binary package hint: update-manager
This is a large installation in terms of the number of packages, and I haven't
corrected all of the configuration problems yet.
That said, the current problem seems to be related to others in the previous
menu (on this site). I hope this helps.
Pro-forma: over many of the past few days I've started the update process and
canceled at the end of the day to accrue packages. yesterday (I think), the UM
completed the downloading, and continued to the install process and, after a
couple of minutes, informed me that it was unable to complete a full upgrade (
I have some backports,etc) and that it would do a partial upgrade. Shortly
thereafter, it warned that it was unable to load the upgrade manager and aske
me to file a bug, but I forgot my password. When I closed the browser the UM
concluded stating that the partial upgrade was complete. Today I restarted
the process with my password in hand so you can get the info.
If I get some more time I'll try to be more helpful, but you folks are so fast
it's hard to keep up. Happy hunting. Thank you!
