Public bug reported: I've found it impossible to configure capturing levels of audio input sources using kmix, assuming that the "input" tab should show them.
It seems that channels in "input" only reflect the audio-through volume of input sources, although they should be in "output". I thought "output = playback" and "input = capture" (like in alsamixer), but it's not. I've verified this, by opening kmix "input" tab and alsamixer at the same time. - In alsamixer, I chose "Capture" and changed the level for "CD". Nothing happened in kmix. - Then I selected "playback" (!) in alsamixer and changed the level for "CD". Now I saw the fader in kmix (Input) moving accordingly. ----------- Soundcard: SBLive Platinum CT4760P Kubuntu Hardy 7.04 KMix v2.6.1 KDE 3.5.10 ** Affects: kdemultimedia (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kmix: impossible to set capture level https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296768 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
