Hello all,

A suggestion: What if the HID->HCI switch happened after login and some
sort of automatic setup of the mouse occured?

For example: at the login screen the dongle is in HID mode. After login,
when the desktop loads, Bluez switches the dongle from HID to HCI mode
and, if no devices have been previously setup, automatically prompts the
user to press the mouse's "connect" button to pair with the mouse.

>From there the keyboard and media pad could be added using the "Setup
new device" option (which can be navigated with just the mouse paired).
This would be similar to the functionality of their Setpoint software in
Windows, where, after installed, it asks you to press the "connect"
button on the mouse, detects it and then you can click through a few
menus to get the keyboard/media pad set up.

Just a thought.
