** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg I installed bootchart from the Ubuntu Ultimate repository. I noticed that on some boots, I get up in about 30 seconds. Others, it's over a minute, with about 30 seconds of disk access for Xorg at the end. I also noticed that sometimes, when I plug or maybe unplug my USB mouse, there is about 30 seconds of heavy disk activity. - I'm using the latest Intrepid, kernel 2.6.27-7 + I'm using the latest Intrepid, kernel 2.6.27-7 on a Dell Inspiron 1525 + I'll attach my bootcharts when I get a chance.
