This is my first bug report, so please be polite and guide me to any
information you need :)
The problem:
If I go to Software Sources -> make any change on the sources -> select
"reload" on the popup asking to update the software information -> the package
downloader popups and while downloading the CPU usage rises to 100%.
Using Htop I can see:
/usr/bin/software-properties-gtk at ~30%
/var/lib/gdm/0:Xauth at ~30%
/usr/bin/synaptic ~20%
Ubuntu 8.10, clean install on eeePC 1000h
