Hi, thanks for the report. In fact, the Intrepid ports kernels remained on 2.6.25, only the officially supported x86 and amd64 kernels moved to 2.6.27. So the linux-image-debug package should be fine. Could you double check? If so I'll close the report.
You are right that the Jaunty development ports kernel has been updated to 2.6.27 already.
