Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero
In British English, the word has only a rather inappropriate and comic meaning in this context: to direct (the libido) toward an infantile form of gratification to focus or concentrate one's gaze or attention intently or obsessively to undergo arrestment at a stage of development It seems the word can have the desired meaning in American English, but only as a Transitive verb: transitive verb 1 : to make fixed, stationary, or unchanging I believe Windows says something like 'finalising the disk'. 'Fixating the disk' might be OK in AE (I don't know, I'm British), but 'fixating' raises a gigle every time I see it. ** Affects: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Brasero reports it is 'fixating' https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296027 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
