Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

I used the Ubuntu 8.10 64-bit LiveCD (on a USB flash drive instead of a
CD actually) and started the installation. When I chose manual
partitioning and set up the partitions according to my will, I noticed
that the disk usage bar doesn't display the sizes of the partitions
accurately. Take a look at the screenshot, the root partition and swap
partition are both the same size, yet the root partition is easily
visible and the swap partition at the end of the bar is barely visible.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
