After upgrading one of my workstations to edgy I had major problems with NFS (/home drive mounted over NFS). Dapper workstations have not had any problems.
I was only able to resolve the problem by compiling the 2.6.18.2 kernel from kernel.org with the config from the edgy kernel. If you have a terminal window open when the problem occurs you may see some messages as mentioned in bug #65827 (or type dmesg when the problem occurs). If so can you mark this bug as a duplicate of #65827?
