(I file this here for the coretemp problem. I have no keyboard problem.)

With a dual core Intel Celeron E1200 @ 1,6 GHz (Family 6, model F, stepping D, 
revision M0, sSpec nr SLAQW, package LGA775, CPUid 06FDh) on Asus P5GC-MX/1333 
motherboard I noticed a nearly 15 °C increase in processor temperature passing 
from Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.10. This temperature is also about 15 °C higher 
than measured in the BIOS. In 8.10, the GNOME applet displays 45 or 46 °C (with 
an orange color I never saw before), instead of little above 30 (and green) 
with 8.04 or with the BIOS.
Fan speed is not changed. Hard disk temperature is not changed.
