Unfortunately, I am having the same identical problem as originally described in Intrepid 64-Bit. It is intermittent (maybe 1 out of 3 boots) The Machine has an AMD 690G integrated chipset, and experiences the blank GDM problem with both the generic ATI and proprietary ATI drivers.
