Still buggy. I've managed to launch the nm-applet by stopping the NetworkManager daemon and by launching it with the --no-daemon argumet. I've also tried wicd, no success, it seems to block my xfce launch and freeze any sudo command. Here's a trace of my NetworkManager command.
