I have this problem aswell. Asus P5Q-EM with G45 chipset. VGA output works fine. With DVI output I can easily reproduce the flickering by opening 2 terminal windows and do a "find /" in both of them. Lowering the resolution one step stops the flickering but not a viable resolution.
I've tested both the distro supplied libdrm2 and intel driver aswell as the ones supplied here: (drm 2.4.0 and intel 2.5) http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ubuntu/pool/main/libd/libdrm/ http://ppa.launchpad.net/thjaeger/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xserver-xorg-video- intel/ People are referring to worked around this bug by disabling the xrandr extension, how do I accomplish that? -- [Intrepid] Screen flicker/resync on X4500HD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275152 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
