Public bug reported:

When I move my mouse cursor over an image (e.g. displayed in Firefox
[only happens when there's no html to display but only the image] or in
Inkscape [so I can't even use it]), it hides 'behind' that image.
Changing mouse cursor theme doesn't work. Using Hardy Heron and default
Ubuntu look.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
