thanks for the report, that option was removed due to the unmantaince
and upstream thinks the arithmetic mode replace it also, but yes the
manual needs to be updated, upstream bug about the removal of the option
is available here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=500994 ;
