Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
We'll try to see if those buttons are recognized by X server: Open a new terminal and type: xev And hit enter. Move your mouse into the white area and hit your thumb buttons (hit them lot of times to see a big difference in the output). It should appear something like this: ButtonRelease event, serial 34, synthetic NO, window 0x4400001, root 0x1a6, subw 0x0, time 5855352, (172,1), root:(879,398), state 0x10, button 7, same_screen YES ButtonPress or ButtonRelease is what we're looking for. (You can close the window when you're done.) -- Mouse button problem in 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294738 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
