I actually noticed that in my case I had 3 /target mount points mounted at the 
same time, to different partitions... 
Could it be commin that all of us are using multiboot environments, or at least 
multiple partitioned environments? Me personally have a setup with some 10 
partitions, 4 of them being each one with its one version of 8.04 desktop, 8.04 
server, 8.10 server and now I was setting up 8.10 desktop.... 
As a sidenote, the 8.10 server installed fine with the same number of 
partitions.
