Hi, I've got a similar bug in Intrepid (since release : didn't affect me in alphas). After running my computer for some time, x-session-manager just loops (full CPU usage), and applications take minutes to start. Same strace symptoms. If that matters, my /etc/hosts looks like this (my hostname is john) : 127.0.0.1 john localhost.localdomain localhost 127.0.0.1 john
