I don't think this should be closed, I just upgraded one of my computers from Hardy to Intrepid and had this happen. It's very disconcerting, and I had not changed any settings. There appears to be something broken in the upgrade process. I'm glad the fix is easy, but it would be nice if nautilus had the correct default "Open With" setting to begin with...
