Dimitrios, all of those commands worked... :-) I'm guessing there may be a problem with the nm-applet, because it doesn't show the drop down list of networks - something I've seen in the x64 bit version of Ubuntu 8.10.
Another feature of the 64bit version was the ability to connect to a wireless network which isn't broadcasting its SSID, for a known address. At System > Preferences > Network Configuration - I've entered the details of the wireless router and security information; alas no connection to the network... Attached is a screen-shot - thank you... ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-4.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19349384/Screenshot-4.png -- wireless U/S - nx7400 upgrading from 8.04 -> 8.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293144 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
