I have noticed that if the laptop is powered and is doing something (for example, amarok's playing a file), performance is also normal.
So there must be some issues in how the acpi thing is allocating resources when the laptop is powered and mostly idle. Performance is normal if I deactivate ACPI at boot time (eg: passing acpi=off to the kernel on GRUB). Any ideas?
