Public bug reported: Binary package hint: korganizer
I use remote calendars, stored on a webdav apache server using Basic Authentication. Whenever I make changes to a calendar and those changes are written to the server (I have it set to do this immediately), I get a Failure message "Error while saving <calendar-name>". If I right-click on the calendar and choose "SAVE" it works fine. Sniffing this traffic, I see the first (failed) attempt is actually the initial "401 Authenticate" message, and the attempt that succeeds includes the Auth headers in the HTTP. I've attempted to include the name/passwd in the URL and it still doesn't handle this well. I still fail the first time. (http://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/calendar.ics) I don't even care if it fails the first time... just don't tell me about it! Tell me when it fails *after* it tries the appropriate credentials... Best case, however, would be to provide credentials on the first attempt, as long as the PKI stack is sane (or already excepted), otherwise ask the user. ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- korganizer / kontact Remote Calendar complains of webdav failure when prompted with a 401-authentication and won't provide credentials the first time https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293701 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
