Hi Lionel, you could try booting from the latest live desktop CD and checking if the screen driver works. If so possibly something has gone wrong with the upgrade from 8.04. If this is the case a fresh install of the distro could potentially fix it. I haven't been able to update to the final release of 8.10 as I'm away from home for a while so can't tell you how I went. Previously the screen was working with the release candidate, but without much graphics acceleration.
