Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
In a fresh Intrepid installation (using the 'free software only' option out of curiosity), Rhythmbox crashes every time I use the slider when playing a song. The song can be .ogg, .mp3 or .wma; It doesn't matter. The songs play well in Totem. I am attaching a Valgrind log and a debugging log from Rhythmbox. My box had a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy from 8.04 to 8.04.1 to Intrepid beta and then was wiped to Intrepid final. All of my preferences stayed in tact. $ apt-cache policy rhythmbox nautilus linux-image-generic && lsb_release -a rhythmbox: Installed: 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4 Candidate: 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4 Version table: *** 0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status nautilus: Installed: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status linux-image-generic: Installed: 2.6.27.7.11 Candidate: 2.6.27.7.11 Version table: *** 2.6.27.7.11 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status W: Unable to locate package rhtyhmbox No LSB modules are available.
