Um this is somewhat out-of-date... There was a problem - but this has been solved along the way. I think what happened way back then was that although I was able to get online via the LAN card and adsl router, the network applet indicated that there was no connection - I am guessing somewhat here, however as I now run Intrepid which is detecting the dhcp connection fine.
