Can't believe this problem is worse than ever in Intrepid :( .... Adjusting the volume of my Creative Xmod through the normal Gnome mixer (as ALSA device) is next to impossible without the sliders jumping everywhere, channels un-linking, etc. And now it even affects the Intel HDA sound card on my motherboard. Why is priority set to low ? It makes hardware volume control from Gnome/GStreamer useless.
