Public bug reported: I have just download the final realease of Ubuntu 8.10 (01/11/2008), I have burn it on CD and test the integrity of CD, that looks OK... I have made several boot test (normal, without acpi, without noapic, ...) but always hangs the system when appears desktop without any icon... at that point start the blink of two right leds (A padlock and down-arrow padlock pictures) on the left side of power switch and doesn't work the keyboard or the mouse... I must poweroff pressing several seconds the power switch.
I work every day with Ubuntu 8.04 version on Dell Inspiron 8500 and never have seen problems like that... ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu 8.10 crash/hang boot on Dell Inspiron 8500 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
